- We have CAP 6.0 running on our NeXTs under 2.1 and 3.0 without any problems. In
- contrast to the Appleshare client software of NeXT which is part of NS3.0 the
- CAP package exhibits a very good stability and reasonable performance. After
- the porting of Adobe LaserWriter fonts from Mac to NeXT via Metamorphosis we
- can even use the NeXT laser printer without any problems. The only prerequisite
- is an Appletalk/Internet gateway (e.g. Kinetics FastPath or Cayman Gatorbox)
- because the NeXT version of CAP doesn't support EtherTalk, i.e. the direct
- integration of Macs with Ethernet cards and NeXTs.
