- I just ran across a book that I wish I had seen much earlier. It not only
- describes how NFS works, but is loaded with diagnostic and problem-solving
- tips. The NIS material if not useful at least makes me feel more
- appreciative of NetInfo. The book is:
-
- _Managing_NFS_and_NIS_, by Hal Stern, O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. Copyright
- 1991, reprinted April 1992 with minor corrections. ISBN 0-937175-75-7.
-
- This 436-page paperback cost around $28. This & other O'Reilly books I
- highly recommend for Unix Sysadmins.
