  11. I made a few minor changes to pCD.app, and have called it version 0.3.1.   
  12. This is still available via anonymous ftp from eclipse.its.rpi.edu, as is  
  13. version 0.3 (just in case I introduced some bugs in the new version).

  15. Most importantly, this is the first version where I was successful at  
  16. uploading my pCD changes to the standard NeXT-related FTP archives.  So, at  
  17. the moment, you can also find this at the hosts:

  23. in the directory pub/next/submissions.  I imagine they'll be moved to other  
  24. directories at some point.  The archive maintainers might want to delete  
  25. older copies of pCD (the original version which Dick Phillips uploaded in  
  26. December).  sonata might want to consider saving a bit over 5 meg of disk  
  27. space by deleting photo_cd.tar.Z too, given that space seems to be a bit  
  28. tight there (photo_cd.tar.Z is a sample of a photo CD, it isn't a  
  29. program...).

  38. Finally, the application now has some "help" information for pCD itself.
  39. This isn't much, but it does include a "version history", so I don't have
  40. to include so much info in this README file!  The help info also includes
  41. a few disclaimers.

  43. There are only two minor coding changes.  For one, pCD will now do the
  44. right thing if the user tries to open "photo_cd/overview.pcd" instead
  45. of the (expected) "photo_cd" directory by itself.  For two, there's an
  46. preference-panel option to control what pCD should do when printing
  47. large images.  Before it always used to scale the image to fit on a
  48. single page, and that is still the default.  The user can also request
  49. that it not be scaled (and thus prints on multiple pages), or that it be
  50. clipped off to fit on a single page.

  52. I'm calling this version 0.3.1 (instead of 0.4) partially because very
  53. little changed, and partially because I didn't spent much time checking
  54. what little I did change.

  57. The compressed folder includes both the source code and a compiled &  
  58. stripped version of the application itself.  This application will only work  
  59. on NeXTSTEP 3.0 machines.
