- Hi,
-
- I was getting some media errors on my internal hard drive the other day. I was
- told that a low level format would correct those errors. Well, I used disk to
- perform the format and the initialization. Is there a program around that could
- verify the stability of the disk? I guess I'm thinking of something like
- Spinrite or Norton Disk Doctor on the PC. I know that in the interactive mode,
- disk has a command called verify but I'm not sure how it works. Any help would
- be appreciated. Thanks. Please email me at pan@athena.mit.edu and I'll post a
- summary.
