-
- why didn't you post the solution so that anyone else who was wondering
- wouldn't have to either mail you or do without or post it again in a
- couple weeks?

-
- Open inspector when opening a .tex file. Press command-3. Click on Edit
- and press Set Default button. Now all .tex files will open in Edit.

-
- Other options:
-
- - Bring up the Tools Inspector and double click the
- application that you want to open the file. This doesn't change
- the default.
-
- - Drag the file to the Edit icon (in your Dock or somewhere on
- the screen) while holding down the Command key and drop the
- file onto the Edit icon. Edit will try to open the file.
