- After playing around with some demos on the archives, I've noticed that
- some of the European software being produced for the NeXT is quite
- good and/or shows a lot of promise (TIFFany as an example). However,
- there seem to be complications for acquiring such software (and a little
- price gouging going on as well).
-
- If some US distributor would pick up on some of these apps, and make a deal
- to offer them at a reasonable price, I think all of the NeXT community (and
- that distributor :-) ) could benefit. At the very least, it could provide
- a nudge to some US developers who are turning out buggy products (or no
- products at all). At the very best, it would give all users access to
- some very good and very _needed_ apps.
-
- BTW, the Feb/Mar 93 NeXTworld (wait a second -- I got that issue at the
- first of Jan?) has an article that discussed some of the overseas
- development that's occurring.
