  14. I would like to rent a large tape backup device, a SCSI 525M system for  
  15. instance, but I haven't found any computer rental companies that rent  
  16. them.

  18. I don't want to buy one, because they are somewhere around $2K.  Also, I  
  19. really just want to backup the applications, NeXTStep, etc. (not user  
  20. data) on my drive.  The idea is that I backup the system now, and if I  
  21. lose everything on my hard drive, I can recover with another rental.

  23. It seems to me that there may be a market for this.  I wonder just how  
  24. many people would be interested in renting a unit like this for, say $70 a  
  25. day.  Probably two people could split this cost and each backup their  
  26. systems in one day.  At this rate, it would take around 30 rentals to  
  27. recover the full amount of the backup device.
