  11. a few months ago i sent mail to the group concerning the problem
  12. we have using our newly acquired EXABYTE drive with our NeXT.  our
  13. main purpose for purchasing this drive was to create and append to
  14. TAR archives.  there seems to a problem with the NeXT AND the
  15. EXABYTE in that we cannot append to a TAR archive.
  16.  
  17. my question concerns DAT drives.  are there people out there who can
  18. absolutely CONFIRM that they can use such a drive, which is attached
  19. to their NeXT, and that it will create a TAR archive and then append
  20. to that same archive?

  22. i would appreciate any confirmations, and particularly a description
  23. of the DAT (company, etc).

  25. if anyone out there as had luck with doing TAR appends to an 
  26. EXABYTE, could you please send me mail as well?
