  10. Does this sound like a hardware problem?

  12. Suddenly, my NeXTstation (mono, 25MHz, running 2.1) won't make a sound.
  13. The "Mute" button beside the Volume slider under Display Preferences is
  14. clicked on, and I can't click it back off.  That is, it goes off while
  15. I'm holding down the mouse button, but comes back on when I let go.

  17. Command-mute does nothing.

  19. I've tried "dsptest", and all the tests "win".

  21. "dspbeep" says:

  29. Does this verify a hardware problem?  Is there anything else I should try?
