  10. Having amicably resolved the issue of putting other scsi disks into the
  11. 3450 I now have a question.  If I do so the hardware will still be supported
  12. by the NCR dealer here, however what is the position regarding software
  13. support.  Will NCR in the US refuse to look at any dumps as there is
  14. now non approved disks in the computer.

  16. This is a major concern to us as the uptime of the system is less than
  17. desirable.  Currently it is measured in days, no failure since last
  18. Friday, however before the last patches we were measuring uptime in hours.
  19. The failures are system hangs which do not normally dump and are non
  20. reproducable.  As the university is on holiday and there is no load on the
  21. system until 16/2 we caanot afford to be without software support.
