- While I don't have any experience with AppMaker, if you're serious about
- programming the Mac and learning about the Toolbox I'd strongly advise that
- you not take any shortcuts by using an interface builder. There are
- countless key concepts and nuances about Macintosh programming that can
- only be mastered by gutting it out through the early stages of your
- programming. When the time comes to extend your knowledge and
- effectiveness as a Macintosh programmer, the hard work that you put into
- coding the interface by hand will be an invaluable experience.
