  12. i need some tips on how to intercept certain system events. in order to keep
  13. track of documents, i want to know when:
  14.  
  15. 1) an existing document is opened
  16. 2) a new, untitled document is created
  17. 3) a document's window is brought to the foreground (which implies that
  18. everybody else isn't)
  19. 4) a document is closed.

  21. and all of this from *other* applications than my own (my stuff "lives" in
  22. a system extension).
