- Hi,
-
- I am considering buying the PS/2 Model 77 (the one with the 486 DX2/66).
-
- In the advertisment sheet from IBM they say that it is NOT possible to CPU
-
- upgrade the model with the 486 DX/2 processor (by replacing the processor).
-
- But in the same sheet they mumble something about a processor upgrade
-
- of the model 57 (Intel Overdrive) and making it faster than the 486 DX2/66
- models.
- This confuses me.
-
- Is it possible in the future to upgrade the 486 DX/2 processor in the
-
- model 77 (does the CPU socket have that extra rows for pentium technology)?
-
- Or is the only way to upgrade a solution a la AOX Busmaster cards?
-
- I would be very thankful for an explaination.
