  13. I am looking for a replacement motherboard for an IBM PS/2 Model 80-071
  14. (alas, even IBM's diagnostics cannot tell me exactly where the failure
  15. is, though apparently the 386DX is OK).

  17. IBM's price for a replacement motherboard is higher than its price for a
  18. new low-end 486 system.  Kingston, Sigma, and other motherboard suppliers
  19. are only marginally less expensive.

  21. I would appreciate suggestions on where to turn for a replacement.

  23. If I am unusccessful in finding a replacement, the entire system will be for
  24. sale on an as-is basis:
  25.     IBM PS/2 Model 80-071 (tower model with lots of empty slots and bays)
  26.     386DX 16 Mz (functioning fine)
  27.     2 MB additional memory on daughter boards
  28.     70 MB hard disk (ESDI)
  29.     3.5" diskette drive (1.44 Mb)
  30.     IBM enhanced keyboard
  31.     IBM 8503 monochrome monitor
  32.     cables/cords
