- I don't expect hand holding. I know where the plug is and how to turn
- on the machine. (Though I might add here that Gateway 2000 puts some
- of the best user documentation I've seen from a mail-order house.) I
- do, however, expect prompt customer service, especially on matters
- concerning unfulfilled orders.
-
- Since my initial posting, I have been able to get in touch with
- Gateway and talk to a real, live human being. It seems that they
- finally got the information they needed from UPS regarding the lost
- order, and ordered replacement software for me.
-
- I was glad to hear of Mr. Malloy's positive experience with Gateway.
- It lends credence to the possibility that my experience with this
- software was an anomaly. Maybe I will buy that CD-ROM drive from
- them later this month or next.
