  23. six months on a 386 notebook.  I had some about three times.  The first two  
  24. times just running CHKDSK /f fixed everything.  The last time CHKSDSK /f 
  25. truncated all files on the drive to just over 8k.  Still don't know what the 
  26. problem is.  I have recently reinstalled it leaving 10MB uncompressed so far 
  27. so good (only two weeks - with fingers crossed).  I don't see any slow down 
  28. though.

  34. With Windows your virtual memory file must be on a non-compressed drive  
  35. otherwise it will goof things up.  Also a friend told me that you need to 
  36. make sure and not crash during Windows session as this will also do strange 
  37. things to your compressed drive.
