  12. My brother wants to buy a new computer. He wants to run 'heavy' software
  13. as big jobs in Mathematica and a numerical evaluation program. This kind
  14. of jobs are very calculate sensitive. But they also work with large 
  15. matrices so they have to do lots of memoryaccess. (The arrays are larger
  16. than the cache).

  18. Now he is wondering, what wil run faster for him, a 486 DX-50 MhZ who can
  19. faster access memory (on 50 MhZ) or a 486 DX2-66 MhZ whose processor runs
  20. faster, but access to memory is at 33 MhZ. The prices doesn't differ mutch,
  21. at least here in holland, so he is just wondering.
