  12. Hi all,
  13.    I have a friend who has stacker 2.0 installed on his hard drive.
  14.    Apparently his brother turned off the computer (an IBM PS/2) while
  15.    still in windows.  Now when he boots up, he gets a message like
  16.    "updating allocation table....." or something like that, and 
  17.    cannot write to his c: drive.  I don't know much about stacker,
  18.    but it sounds as if it write protected his hard drive (possibly
  19.    by making the STACVOL.DSK read-only?).  Anyway, you can see his
  20.    predicament (sp?), he can't write anything to his hard drive.  If
  21.    anyone out there has experienced this problem or knows how to fix it
  22.    PLEASE e-mail me quickly (he does not have an internet address).
