- Sounds like a faulty Power Supply to me, more precisely, the Control Logic.
- Modern Supplies have a rather elaborated Control Logic which enables them
- to supply a wide Range of Voltages, with a PROM remembering WHAT Voltage
- to supply. Hook a Multimeter ($15 max.) to the Power Cords, setting the
- Meter to AC 50 V. If you don't see it going up to either 12 or 5 Volts
- (should supply both on two different Lines), the Supply is broken.

- You aren't wrong. If you can identify it, then you will most probably be
- able to fix it given the Replacement Parts, hence no need for somebody
- on-site.

-
- And if even the Owner doesn't give in, state that it is covered by your
- Warranty and send it back. Rejecting Warranty Repairs is subject to
- legal Investigation, and that's a higher League than just requesting
- them to fulfil Sales Promises. However, BEAT 'EM!!!
