- In the newest issue of BYTE magazine they compare a DX2-66 to the
- new $4000 SPARC classic. They rathe the DX2-66 at 53 MIPS and
- the classic at 58 MIPS. The DX2-66's MIPS _HAS_ to be _TOTALLY_
- wrong. 486-33's are approximately 15 MIPS, 486-50's are 23 MIPS
- so how in the heck can a DX_2_66 be 53 MIPS!!! The DX2-66 should
- according to the progression of the 33, and 50 should be in the range
- of 30MIPS. So don't get fooled! If I had my choice and the money
- ID take the classic! Also question for everyone DX2's are supposed
- to access memory as if it were the processor of half the speed, at least
- I thought.. How can a DX2-66 access memory faster than a straight 50?
- In the benchmarks the DX2-66's have higher memory access than a real 50.
- Can this be true?
