  22. All I can say on this part is... I want my money back! I have a 1 Meg
  23. plain jane ATI XL (not the Ultra, no accelerator, no nothing). So I was
  24. on the same boat you were. So we obtain WinSpeed in hoping to increase
  25. the performance of our Windows, especially after reading the article in
  26. PC Mag. I should've known better than to trust those guys in PC Mag.
  27. Anyways, we install the program. One thing I'll give it is, it was VERY
  28. simple to install. But then, we did some tests against times we timed
  29. before this installation, tests being things like Window startup which
  30. include it having to draw all the stuff on the desktop to drawing a Full
  31. Screen Printer Preview under a complicating drawing we have under Corel
  32. Draw (one of our slowest applications that we'd love to have WinSpeed
  33. speed up, the redraws that is). Not only did it not perform any faster,
  34. on some tests, it performed even slower!! What a rip off. I tried it on
  35. a number of computers in our lab too, from 386 to 486.

  37. So my conclusion is, it may have sped up Win 3.0, but certainly NOT Win
  38. 3.1. Don't waste your money/time buying it.
