- How about a fourth thing: that Gateway really is doing a
- a reasonable job. What we may be seeing here on the net is
- that those who have had problems are more likely to speak up
- than those who have had good service. I have had overall
- good service from Gateway. With one early problem, it took
- me a while to get through, but I solved that by volunteering
- (insisting, actually) to stay on hold till someone would talk
- to me. When they did, the solved the problem quickly.
-
- Sometime in the next year, I'll probably buy a 486. Last
- week, I looked around a computer show and my general conclusion
- was: yeah, I can save $100 or maybe even $200 bucks, but I
- TRUST Gateway. Unless something changes my mind between now
- and then, my next machine will be a Gateway.
