  17. The XT1140 is a solid, workhorse drive. It is obsolete by today's
  18. interface standards, of course.

  20. Because the HDA was the same in the entire series that the 1140 came from,
  21. many of them can be formatted to much higher capacities than they were
  22. certified for. This means 1224 cylinders and RLL formatting. Friends
  23. of mine have used XT1140's formatted to 238 MB in this way for YEARS
  24. of continuous use without a peep.
