- I am looking to put together an MPC system with a sound card, a CD-ROM
- and a 2G SCSI drive. I know of three contenders in the sound card
- arena: PAS-16, SB-PRO, and Turtle Beach. I have heard that Turtle Beach
- has no SCSI controller, SB has some proprietary CD interface, and PAS
- has a Tantor 16-bit SCSI controller.
-
- For my purposes, this makes the PAS card a good bet. However, I am
- wondering if anyone has used the card as a real SCSI controller for
- devices besides a CD-ROM. Specifically, has anyone used it for a
- large hard-drive (e.g. >1G). What drivers are necessary to make this
- work under Windows 3.1, how much do they cost, and from whom can I
- purchase them?
-
- Thanks in advance for any info. Please e-mail responses.
