- Oh, one more thing, I have heard it mentioned here that Diamond VLB boards
- automatically configure themselves for VLB and don't need any type of drivers
- to work. Is this a unique feature of the Diamond boards (since they were on
- the VESA committee) or do other types of boards have to have drivers to run
- correctly? If so, then how does this work? Is the driver set up when the
- computer is started so that all graphically based programs can take advantage
- of the board's features (like the enhanced VESA modes of certain cards)?
-
- Also, is there any way to turn the acceleration off? If I am playing a game
- with a DOS graphics accelerator and it is too fast, can I turn the accelerator
- off to get the game down to "normal" speeds?
-
- Thanx mucho!
