  12. I have a query on two compatibility problems:

  14. 1) I can't run my VGA card in 16 bit mode in the presence of a Western Digital
  15. 1006-SR2 HD controller (don't know about other RLL controllers) although it
  16. will run in 8 bit mode. Are these two peripherals fundamentally incompatible or
  17. is there a fix to this problem?

  19. 2) I am running 2 RLL hard disks off the above mentioned controller and would
  20. like to add an additional IDE or other type of hard disk without trashing my
  21. existing drives. The 1006-SR2 manual says that the controller will coexist with
  22. an IDE with one of the controllers set at the secondary address (not sure which
  23. one). I realise that it should be possible to run two controllers in a system,
  24. one at the primary and one at the secondary, but this does not always work in
  25. practice. Does anybody have any experience with my proposed setup?
