  13. I am having some difficulties with my SVGA display, and thought I would
  14. ask the net before spending a lot of time tracking down the problem.

  16. I have a TVGA8900C based video card and a CTX SVGA non-interlaced
  17. monitor.  I have had no problems until recently;  now my display will
  18. suddenly shrink vertically, so that it covers the middle half of the
  19. screen.  After a while, it will correct itself, and sometimes it will
  20. flicker between the two states.

  22. Would any wise person be able to tell me if this kind of behavior is
  23. symptomatic of a problem with the video card, or with the monitor
  24. itself.
