  14. I have worked with these drives in the past and have noticed that there is 
  15. a small copper contact on the circuit board side of the drive.  This
  16. contact grounds the hard drive motor shaft.  The rattling or squealing
  17. that the drive makes can be suppressed by using a graphite based lubricant
  18. between the contact and the shaft.
