- I thought that Dysan used to be a premium media name. A
- couple of weeks ago I bought some Dysan 2120 mini-QIC
- cartridges for my Colorado Memory tape drives (one 120MB,
- one 250MB drive). On one drive it wouldn't format-- gave
- a "drive motor failure" message-- you could hear the
- speed winding down. On the 250 drive, another one formatted and
- wrote, but refused to restore-- gave me a bunch of "file
- not found" errors. Also, the base plate of the cartridge
- was too hot to touch -- probably 120 degrees or more.

- I've had good luck with Verbatim and 3M, but it sounds
- like you should avoid Dysan.
