- No, Mike. From experience I know that in some cases, CMS drives will
- either not format or read "alien" tapes. 8) Sounds like a rendition from
- DS9, eh? But it's true. I have several tapes which my Jumbo 120 will not
- format or read, yet when I put the tapes in my Irwin drive, they work
- fine with no bad blocks.
- It's true, and it's probably, as you observed, someone scratching someone
- else's back...
