- I hope this is in the right group...

- I need any advice or recommendations for a tape drive
- under these configurations:

- 386-33, AMI (4/9/91)
- 102M IDE + 2 floppies (control card is full)
- Two 16-bit ports are free (for now)
- Software that will offer all or most of these options (something
- similar to 'tar'):
- - backup of an entire disk;
- - backup of specific directories (incl. incremental, where
- files are added to an existing archive if not already
- there or have been modified since the last incremental,
- and files may or may not be removed from the archive
- if no longer in the specified directory);
- - archiving lists of files, appending a list of files to
- an existing archive, extracting a list of files from
- an archive.

- Oh, this is needed for a DOS system, but something that will also
- work under Unix derivatives is a plus.
