  11. I hope this is in the right group...

  13. I need any advice or recommendations for a tape drive
  14. under these configurations:
  15.  
  16.      386-33, AMI (4/9/91)
  17.      102M IDE + 2 floppies (control card is full)
  18.      Two 16-bit ports are free (for now)
  19.      Software that will offer all or most of these options (something
  20.      similar to 'tar'):
  21.       - backup of an entire disk;
  22.       - backup of specific directories (incl. incremental, where
  23.         files are added to an existing archive if not already
  24.         there or have been modified since the last incremental,
  25.         and files may or may not be removed from the archive
  26.         if no longer in the specified directory);
  27.       - archiving lists of files, appending a list of files to
  28.         an existing archive, extracting a list of files from
  29.         an archive.

  31. Oh, this is needed for a DOS system, but something that will also
  32. work under Unix derivatives is a plus.
