  11. Although im probably grasping at straws with this one, here goes:

  13.    A few months ago, i purchased my 486/33 AMI bios machine through the
  14. classified ads in the local paper.  It is populated with 8 1MEG simms, filling
  15. all of the slots.  I am interested in adding memory, going to 4meg simms,
  16. the problem is that i have no documentation for the mother board.  Are there
  17. jumpers or something that have to be set when changing the memory
  18. configuration?  The most likely candidate i see for something like this is a
  19. set of four dip switches, all set to the same position for the current config.
  20. There is no manufacturer name on the motherboard (as far as i can see).. are
  21. there any IC's that i could look for that might give me a hint as to how those
  22. switches should be set if i add memory? (or if they have anything at all to do
  23. with the memory?)  If anyone out there would be willing to help, please email.
