  12. I posted above about the possible systems that I am going to purchase and I
  13. left out a few important questions.
  14. Addendum:
  15. 1.)  Is having 8 megs of RAM that important??  I plan on running windows
  16. software and some DOS stuff.  All the machines I have looked at come with 4
  17. megs.
  18. 2.)  Is a 170 meg HD large enough for a machine today?  Originally the machines
  19. I was looking at came with 130 Meg HDs, but I heard that the average windows
  20. prog is 8 meg so I upgraded a bit.
  21. 3.)  I am considering all local bus systems, but have a choice between an
  22. ET-4000 card and a Genoa card.  The ET-4000 gets around 4 WinMarks, whereas the
  23. Genoa gets 29 WinMarks.  That seems like a dramatic difference to me, but I am
  24. unfamiliar with the WinMark test and don't know what that would translate to in
  25. actual "speed" benefit.  Can anyone help here?
