  12. Howdy everyone
  13. I am just getting ready to buy a brand-spanking new IBM clone and have narrowed
  14. the field down to 4 choices.  First, I have a few questions that I would like
  15. the knowledgeable people to answer a few questions.
  16. 1.)  Is a VESA LB worth it??  I know that it dramatically speeds up graphix and
  17. hard drive transfers, but not much else about it.
  18. 2.)  Are there any incompatabilities with VL-Bus??  Are there any programs that
  19. don't work with VL-Bus, etc.
  20. 3.)  Does anyone know about the ET-4000 or Genoa VL-Bus cards, and which would
  21. be the best for BOTH DOS and Windows performance?  I know that the Genoa gets
  22. about 29 WinMarks but have no idea what the ET-4000 gets.  Help here would be
  23. appreciated (a $95 difference for the Genoa).
  24. 4.)  Any information on the reliability/reputation of the below companies would
  25. also be appreciated.  :-)

  60. I am leaning toward the Maximus system right now, but would prefer an LED
  61. readout on the case (just for the look  ;-).
