- Jumpers W17 to W20 select factory drive tables. These are only useful if you
- are low-level formatting the drive with a pre-selected configuration rather
- than dynamically configuring the drive.
-
- First drive Second drive Heads Cylinders
- Jumper >> W17 W18 W19 W20
- in in in in 4 612
- out in out in 4 306
- in out in out 2 615
- out out out out 4 615 (default)
-
- Jumpers W21 and W22 set the controller and BIOS address:
- W21 W22 Controller BIOS
- out out 320-323 C8000-C9FFF (default)
- in out 324-327 CA000-CBFFF
- out in 328-32B CC000-CDFFF
- in in 32C-32F CE000-CFFFF
-
-
- Jumpers W25 and W26 are always out.
-
- Jumper W27 selectes the interrupt number:
- W27
- in IRQ2
- out IRQ5 (default)
-
- According to the manual, "W28 allows the controller to operate with an XT
- computer when the jumper in OUT". The jumper should also be OUT if you are
- using the controller with anything higher than an XT (such as 286/386/486).
-
- To low-level format a drive, start up DEBUG and enter:
- g=c800:5
