- I think anything more than "pc" is too wordy and contrived. There are
- a lot of ftp sites that use "pc" to designate directories and there aren't
- a lot of people running around getting all confused over that.

- Since we will never find a definitive term, it is time we just claim a
- term that is simple and nearly, if not perfectly, apt. Let's declare
- "pc" to mean systems that are based on the Intel x86 processors (or
- at least derived from these systems) and let everyone else cope with
- it.
