- Results on my 386sx16MHz 4M RAM (ISA of course):
-
- 16 --- 3.9 3.9 xxx xxx
- 256 --- 5.7 6.4
- 32768 1.1 1.1
- 16M 1.1
- * "---" means I didn't test. "xxx" means I couldn't test.
-
- Possible explanations for the much-smaller-than-expected difference, especially
- for 256colors and above:
-
- 1. The card doesn't take full advantage of faster CPU/EISA bus.
- 2. Windbench3.1 is fony.
- 3. 486dx50MHz CPU's are fony.
- 4. Kerry got a fony machine.
- 5. My dealer was so screwed up that day, he actually stuffed in a 486dx25MHz!
-
- (Puzzlingly, it runs faster in 1024x768x256 than 800x600x256!)
-
- Something's wrong here... Could anyone with similar platforms confirm both sets
- of test results?

- ps. Just to be sure, Winmarks are supposedly an absolute scale, right?
