  22. This is a very difficult practical problem because of the history of
  23. the parlance.  On the sofware side one solution has been to use the
  24. word msdos instead of ibm.pc, but how can we do the same on the
  25. hardware side so that it is nether too narrow or too broad, because
  26. both will invite problems.
