  19. A lot of problems with large (>14 inch) monitors is due to external magnetic
  20. fields... The easiest way to test/fix them is to turn them on, wait a few 
  21. minutes, turn them off, wait a few minutes, etc... This allows the degaussing
  22. magnets to "adjust" the screen to the external magnetic fields...

  24. If this doesn't fix the problem it should be aligned where it is being 
  25. operated to cancel out any residual magnetics (the earth's field is the worst)
  26. This should fix a good monitor, and make a bad one tolerable...

  35. NEC no longer makes the 4D or 4DS line. You can however buy one of the last
  36. units either new or remanufactured... It is a nice monitor, I use one at 
  37. work and at home...
