  12.     I am attempting to get an AST TurboLaser 800 laser printer oper-
  13. ational. This hasn't  been used in a while, and the people who have used 
  14. it no longer work here. On power up, the printer seems to be powering up,
  15. and the symbol that indicates that the printer is heating up is blinking.
  16. After a while, it goes on solid. Pulling out the papaer cartridge or 
  17. opening up any of the access panels results in a cover open indication 
  18. on the front panel. As far as this goes, the printer seems to be OK. 
  19. It does not, however print out a status page. I have the following
  20. questions:

  22.     1. How do I get it to print a status page, or doesn't it do this?
  23.  
  24.     2. As far as is known, this is a Ricoh printer engine, the R4080. 
  25.     We have many supplies for a Ricoh R4081. Can these supplies be 
  26.         used with this printer?
  27.  
  28.     3. What type of printer is this? Is it a Lasejet of any type,
  29.     Postscript, or other any printer usable with Windows or OS/2?

  32.     Any information about this printer, and especially maintenence 
  33. for itwould be appreciated. Please reply by E-mail or post to this news
