  16. I would stay away from it.  I received one as a late Christmas gift, and
  17. discovered incredible amounts of hiss when playing 8-bit samples (as in
  18. Wolfenstein 3D.)  I called Creative Labs, and they told me to send it in.
  19. After they had it for a week, I called them and they said it was a hardware
  20. design problem, a solution months away.  So they're supposed to be sending it
  21. back to me so I can return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

  23. There are many other fine soundcards out there that actually work.
