  29. You are making this sound like some nefarious activity on the
  30. part of ZEOS.  Yes, your PC is CAPABLE of 64KB memory.  That
  31. doesn't mean that ZEOS guarantees they can supply it if they
  32. can not get delivery themselves.

  34. I have been after distributors for several months to even get a
  35. delivery quote on 16MB 72pin SIMMS without success.  They simply
  36. aren't available and as best they can find out, no USA mfr.
  37. makes them yet.

  39. You can get the same answer from Gateway.  The only difference
  40. with them is that they will take back the 4MB simms WHENEVER
  41. they can replace with 16MB simms.

  43. BTW, you can thank your USA Dept. of Commerce for this situation
  44. because they responded to a complaint from that outfit in
  45. Idaho who TRIES to make these memory chips that Korean
  46. suppliers were dumping.  So what happens?  The price goes up,
  47. supplies shrink, and the Koreans sell their stuff to countries
  48. who don't screw around with them.
