  13.     Okay before I even start, NO FLAMES PLEASE, especially MS Windows fans,
  14. I'm a total XWindows fan and love it's multi-tasking and dislike MS Windows.  It's just a matter of opinion as I'm sure there are tons of people who look at it from the opposite view.
  15.     Now that little disclaimer is over could someone tell me if there is a pd UNIX version and XWindows as well.  I've heard that it's about 1000 pounds (here in the UK) for just setting UNIX up on one computer which seems really excessive.  Heard of Linux but don't know how good it is compared to the UNIX and XWindows(X11) version we've got here at university.  If there isn't a pd version, does anyone know what the cheapest UNIX system is, doesn't matter if it's from the US because I think mail order compani
