- I'm surprised at these comments about the recent (future?) release of the
- Viper card; we've been looking at a machine from Comtrade with this card
- that was advertised in the December BYTE. They offer a 486/33DX machine
- with VESA and the Viper card at a price point comparable to a Gateway 33SX.

- Anyone have general comments on Comtrade, specific comments on this machine,
- or speculation on whether they're counting snakes before they hatch? We're
- tempted by the until recently unblemished Gateway name, but if we can get
- this much more performance at the same price, we'll find it very hard to
- resist. I'll summarize to the group if there's sufficient interest.
