  12. I'm surprised at these comments about the recent (future?) release of the
  13. Viper card; we've been looking at a machine from Comtrade with this card
  14. that was advertised in the December BYTE.  They offer a 486/33DX machine
  15. with VESA and the Viper card at a price point comparable to a Gateway 33SX.

  17. Anyone have general comments on Comtrade, specific comments on this machine,
  18. or speculation on whether they're counting snakes before they hatch?  We're
  19. tempted by the until recently unblemished Gateway name, but if we can get
  20. this much more performance at the same price, we'll find it very hard to
  21. resist.  I'll summarize to the group if there's sufficient interest.
