- > increasing IR receiver range on 48?
- The 48 is crippled in its receiver and the modulation technique used
- (none). I have heard rumours of people increasing the range
- significantly but have never seen any hardware. I build a little data
- acquisition system for the HP-48 that goes over the IR for isolation. I
- can tell you that 2 inches with the 48 is tough. There are a bunch of
- tradeoffs, the biggest being ambient light immunity. Good luck- if you
- here any different, let me know. The ADCM-48 could use a 4 ft range!
