  12. In today's Wall Street Journal article concerning the 
  13. resignation of IBM CEO John Akers, the paper quoted one 
  14. longtime IBM executive observing:

  16. "He (Akers) finally concluded his credibility inside and 
  17. outside is a real obstacle to moving ahead, and it would be 
  18. better for the business to have a different chief executive."

  20. Since this is clearly the same situation HP's Lew Platt is in, 
  21. let's hope Lew makes the same decision.

  23. HP investors can assist in this process by marking the 
  24. "WITHHOLD VOTE" box on the proxy card you recently 
  25. received and writing  "L.E. Platt" in the space provided.
