- hi;
-
- Someone is willing to donate the folowing (1984+ vintage) equipment:
-
- HP series 100 (several), 2 floppy disks, monitor nad printer in a box.
- HP 3000 series 42 mini with a 7933 hard disk.
- HP 2602A printers (several)
- HP 2563A printers (several)
-
- Some printers are HPIB and some are serial.
-
- The system was set up as a network and used in an accounting office on
- an engineering firm. Before determining if I should go out to look at them
- I had some questions (that the person on the other end is trying to answer.)
-
-
- What OS(s) ran on these? (if HP/UX was the only one I'll be happy,
- I think the 100s ran DOS)
- What network was likely used? (ethernet tcp/ip would be best for me)
- How big was the hard disk?
- What was likely the disk interface (I expect HPIB so it won't move to
- a PC or SUN)
- Could one add multiple serial lines to the 3000 and an ethernet card
- supporting tcp/ip?
- What kind of printers are these?
-
- I expect these are too old for me to use, but who knows.
- If I don't take these items and anyone else is interested (they
- want a tax-deductable donation) I'll be happy to forward a phone
- number.
-
- cheers - john
