- a question about soft links
- when linking directories across file systems as below
-
- ln -s /usr/aux/bin /usr/local/bin
-
- where /usr/aux/bin is the directory with all the commands and /usr/local/bin
- points to it.
-
- will the links remain after a reboot or shutdown
- or will /usr/local/bin go away. is there ever a time it will go away other
- than removing it.
-
- thanx for any help
- email if possible
