  10. a question about soft links
  11. when linking directories across file systems as below
  12.  
  13. ln -s /usr/aux/bin /usr/local/bin
  14.  
  15. where /usr/aux/bin is the directory with all the commands and /usr/local/bin
  16. points to it.
  17.  
  18. will the links remain after a reboot or shutdown
  19. or will /usr/local/bin go away. is there ever a time it will go away other
  20. than removing it.
