- I can look at a DOS floppy OK.
- I can tar to the /dev/floppy device.
- but I cannot create a new filesystem on the floppy and mount it. Is
- this normal?
-
- /dev/floppy is a link to /dev/rdsk/0s0 and all of the device numbers and
- permissions look OK. It is OK physically since I can do other things
- with the floppy disks. I have tried a mediainit and a newfs and they
- just hang the disk in a state where I cannot kill the process. I have
- to eject the floppy and let it abort on its own.
-
- Any suggestions would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks.
