  29. You can certainly try a newer version!

  31. I'm a little surprised you can read the floppies on a PC.  The default
  32. method of formatting them on a 150 is not compatible with MSDOS on a PC,
  33. if I recall rightly.

  35. B drive: try running CONFIG, which should be on a floppy somewhere, and
  36. checking the config for B, C, D, E, ..., Z.  Disks beyond those that you
  37. have should be configured as "not there", not as HP-IB (or whatever the
  38. other choices are) ... this will speed up the boot process for  you.

  40. You can get a used disc drive real cheap.  I saw a bunch awhile ago
  41. at Kelly Computer (415) 960-1010, but I suspect any used hardware dealer
  42. would be glad to get rid of them.
