- I don't remember a newer version of DOS than 2.11, at least not from HP.
- You can certainly try a newer version!

- I'm a little surprised you can read the floppies on a PC. The default
- method of formatting them on a 150 is not compatible with MSDOS on a PC,
- if I recall rightly.

- B drive: try running CONFIG, which should be on a floppy somewhere, and
- checking the config for B, C, D, E, ..., Z. Disks beyond those that you
- have should be configured as "not there", not as HP-IB (or whatever the
- other choices are) ... this will speed up the boot process for you.

- You can get a used disc drive real cheap. I saw a bunch awhile ago
- at Kelly Computer (415) 960-1010, but I suspect any used hardware dealer
- would be glad to get rid of them.
